Yet another accidental discovery of a fucking gem on the Archive. Stumbled across these guys randomly, and I think I've found a solid new addition to my library.
It's hard to find a good jazz or organ blues group, and these guys definitely deliver. Think along the lines of Robert Walter's 20th Congress, but more emphasis on the organ and bass rather than on such heavy riffs from the horns.
Definitely worth a listen. Very crisp recording, I feel like I'm right in the room. BUT, as the taper has said, the horns do not get picked up all that well and are a bit quiet. Other than that, a great show.
Probably worth the download simply for the bad-ass version of Wade in the Water!!
